AD duties in effect: Fabory anticipates on steel fasteners from China

The anti-dumping duties on certain steel fasteners from China will come into effect on February 18. Fines are collected from the importer and not from the exporter. That is why Fabory has already started redirecting purchase orders to suppliers outside China from the announcement of the anti-dumping investigation. In a short time, we have found alternative suppliers for most products. Although Fabory reduces vulnerability to possible anti-dumping duties, this leads to an increase in the cost price of our articles.

This is due to Chinese manufacturers' tendency to classify their high-tier products from the lower category. The risk of significant fines for such an illegal practice lies with the importers and not the manufacturer in China. Fabory is reassured that it has started in good time with finding alternative suppliers: renowned manufacturers in Europe and other Asian countries. This way, we avoid the AD tax as much as possible. By anticipating developments in China in good time, you will experience as little disruption as possible, and your stock will remain up to standard.
