Clean Room

Your production or assembly process determines the degree of technical cleanliness that applies to the fasteners and tools to be used. Together with our cleaning partners, we ensure that contaminants are removed from products and that they can be used in your application without risk of contamination. The cleaning processes focus on these types of pollution:

• Residues from the production process such as burrs and chips
• Residues from the production environment such as dust, fibers, and sand
• Stains from process residues, corrosion inhibitors, or fingerprints

The degree of cleanliness required determines to what extent the above contamination may be present and which verification methods must be used to prove this. For some applications a check with (UV) light is sufficient and for other applications, a residual gas analysis (RGA) may be required.

In addition, it is important to consider not only the cleanliness requirements but also other metallurgical or tribological properties of the products. Sometimes other precautions are necessary. For example, it may be necessary to apply an EPK (electrolytic polishing & kolsterizing) treatment to guarantee the performance of the product in ultra-clean conditions.
