Nord-Lock
Nord-Lock offers innovative fasteners like the SUPERBOLT Load-Sensing Tensioner (LST) and the SUPERBOLT Load-Sensing Flexnut (LSF), enriching the Fabory range. Both systems are available from M36 to M100 and measure bias in installations. The data can be monitored remotely or on-site with an accuracy of about 95%. This monitoring method is considered an innovation in industries such as petrochemistry and energy, particularly in the case of large-diameter bolts or nuts requiring pretension. Here are some advantages of LST and LSF:
- There is no need for construction changes, including geometry and bolt or connection design
- Accurate monitoring/reading of pretension without adjusting the connection, even remotely
- Suitable for retrofit/upgrade
- Robust and reliable, class IP67
- There are no high costs for labour, extra measuring equipment, and periodic preventive maintenance.

Wide & Deep
The Spiralock nut from Stanley Engineered Fastening is designed for connections that experience heavy vibrations, such as in goods transport, conveyor belts, agriculture, and machine construction.
The unique feature of the Spiralock concept is that the nut has a self-locking internal thread with a 30-degree wedge, eliminating the need for additional locking mechanisms in the connection.
Dorset used Spiralock self-locking nuts because they need heat-resistant lock nuts when working with the Dorset Green Machine in fire-hazard environments. The nuts are easy to disassemble or assemble over time. Dorset, located in Aalten, develops and produces a range of solutions, from RFID electronics to industrial drying installations. When assembling the Dorset Green Machines, the fitters use Spiralock self-locking A4 stainless steel nuts.
Niek ter Horst, the cooperating foreman at Dorset, explained, "We used to use other stainless steel lock nuts for this application. They damaged the bolt's thread and could no longer be dismantled. Jamming of bolts and nuts should be avoided as much as possible. The Spiralock nut offers a particularly good solution for this."
The most unique features of the Spiralock nut include:
- A self-locking female thread
- Freewheeling up to the point of preload
- Even thread load
- Can be used with standard bolts
- Reusable, with 100 per cent guaranteed
Fabory supplies the Spiralock nuts in sizes M6 to M16 from stock. The nuts are available as flange nuts in galvanised steel (strength class 10) and stainless steel A4. For more details, view the full Spiralock range.
Captive screws and bolts
No one wants to find screws or bolts in their food in the end. At the same time, securing fasteners in panels and doors that open and close regularly is a challenge. The opening and closing must be smooth, yet the screws and bolts must stay in place.
The Fabory range includes captive screws and bolts equipped with a special clip. This innovative solution was developed by a customer who created the idea. With these fasteners, there's no need to adjust the back panel design. Fabory will have the captive fasteners available in stock from mid-2022.
